Description

Lead the manufacture team in the production of high quality and affordable reduction gears for marine propulsion systems. Be responsible for a state of the art manufacturing facility dedicated to production of gear systems Lead the implementation of Lean Principles and Continuous Improvement efforts Interface with senior Operations Leadership, a variety of engineering disciplines, and a talented team of machinists to achieve production, quality, and cost objectives Participate in the design of reduction gear systems that will shape the future of marine propulsion in new platforms The qualified candidate will have a successful history of leadership in the manufacturing of gear systems, with specific experience in all phases of hobbing and grinding operations. Understanding of gear metrology and inspection instrumentation is mandatory. A strong background in Lean Manufacturing Principles will be an important discriminator. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills combined with a hand on leadership style are essential. No consideration will be given without gear production experience or a Large Machinery background in Marine industry. The ideal candidate will have a four-year technical degree, five plus years of relevant experience and Microsoft Office computer skills. Relocation Assistance Available.
