INTERNATIONAL MARKETING MANAGER – JAPANESE AND ASIA MARKETS


 


Primary Function of the International Marketing Manager


 


Develop, lead, and implement marketing plan, key programs, and support to drive procedure adoption of our medical device amongst target physicians, including urologists, gynecologists, general surgeons and cardiac surgeons throughout the international market.


 


This role will have a particular focus on support of the Japanese and Asian markets.

Roles and Responsibilities: 


 


Prioritize international medical conferences, and enable a focus upon the high impact trade shows and events


 


 


 


Develop and implement company’s presence at key international medical society conferences, including robotics symposia, post graduate (PG) courses, live surgical broadcasts, booth presence, and promotion.


 


 


 


Partner with the worldwide and US Training departments to identify and support the development of new training programs to meet our procedure adoption goals.


 


 


 


Partner with key surgeon champions to develop and implement leading robotic clinical education programs and symposia to drive competency and utilization of our medical device in the Asian markets.


 


 


 


Develop and implement live surgical broadcasts via the web to educate and promote our medical device for target procedures in international markets.


 


 


 


Work with Webcast Company and marketing communications to promote clinical education events amongst target surgeon and patient audiences.


 


 


 


Work closely with key physicians and the our product development organization to define marketing and product requirements for new products needed to further enable key procedures in international markets, particularly in therapeutic areas that are less prevalent in the US market and more prevalent in the international market.


 


 


 


Develop strategy, content, and support for surgeon/hospital marketing programs designed to drive patients to our practices (e.g., patient education and referring physician seminars). Ensure compliance of these programs to local customs and laws


 


 


 


Work closely with e-marketing and marketing communication groups to optimize procedural and marketing content for international markets on our Company’s patient-facing website and on Company’s online surgeon community.


 


 


 


Work closely with clinical affairs to develop and implement clinical & publication strategy that will support international procedure adoption goals


 


 


 


Lead field communications to launch new procedures and promote key marketing programs to maximize impact on international procedure growth


 


 


 


Assist in training of new sales hires and distributors on marketing strategy, surgeon targeting, procedure positioning, sales support, and key marketing programs to drive their procedural growth


 


 


 


Develop and update sales support for assigned procedures and marketing programs.


 


 


 


Prioritize and manage translation of marketing materials


 


 


 


Serve as key liaison between marketing and international distributors and company personnel

In order to adequately perform the responsibilities of this position the individual must have:


 


 


 


Product marketing experience in a therapeutic medical device company/Surgical and/or OR experience desired


 


 


 


Bachelor’s degree in life science or business discipline


 


MBA desired


 


 


 


Proven ability to effectively position and message product/procedure and develop strong sales support to drive product/procedure adoption


 


 


 


Demonstrated success in building clinical education and marketing programs to drive product/procedure growth


 


 


 


Demonstrated ability to work creatively amidst competing priorities to deliver high-impact marketing programs on-time and within budget to support overall international marketing strategy and business objectives


 


 


 


Superior verbal/written communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills to work across multiple constituents


 


 


 


Self-starter with ability to take leadership in unstructured environment


 


 


 


Able to prioritize and smoothly manage multiple tasks


 


 


 


Must be well versed in MS Office Suite


 


 


 


Ability to travel 45%


 


 


 


Significant international travel to Asia may be required
